For this assignment, we are working towards entering the Melbourne festival. Their website is here, we can find extra information about the competition and its rules. We can photograph any subject, as long as we can find a link towards the main theme. We have to produce one main image, which must have a maximum size of 2 meters. The brief demands we think about audiences and how we are going to edit these images. A possible idea is stitching, painting, photoshoping and overlaying. These needs to be evaluated and shown so I can complete unit 1. We will also need to work towards unit 10, this is done by creating a CV and a personal statement. These and all other evidence of entering competitions, will be going into a file.

Initial Ideas:
Meaning of Expanding Horizons: If you expand your horizons, you broaden your outlook on life and its possibilities.
Initial Ideas: I have multiple ideas, these include:
*Having murder scenes and look into forensic photography.
*Fairy Tales - these expand younger children's knowledge - Red Riding Hood. These set of images would be more fashion, which i havent done before, so i would be 'expanding my horizons'.It would also promote the way that books and knowledge can 'expand horizons'.
*Animals - focusing on rare, zoo animals and how they are usually seen in different places. These would be close ups and focus on facial features.
*Sports - again these can expand horizons and lead you to new places.
*Traveling - the views from a car, bus, train etc. These could be country, rural or urban.
*Food photography - foods from different countries and cultures.
*Clothes from different countries and cultures.
